The first part of this page is the story I published five years earlier. Many of these machines are on display in the new location, while some have been put into storage.
The new exhibition does not have as much space as the old location but it better displays the bikes and their history.

To understand the Trev Deeley Motorcycle Collection you need to understand Trev Deeley, but you don't have to understand a collection to enjoy it.
Note: Mr. Trev Deeley passed away March 28, 2002. He had just turned 82.

Some of you may know of the collection under the name `Museum' but to be politically correct the name has been changed to `Collection'.
The `collection' or the collecting of motorcycles began with Fred Deeley when he was sixteen years old. (Fred went by the name of Trev to avoid confusion. His father and Grandfather were both named Fred and were also in the motorcycle game.)
Trev followed in his father's footsteps, selling motorcycles. He later got into racing for Harley Davidson and during his fifteen years on the track accumulated, as well as many awards, several motorcycles which became the foundation of his collection that contains some fifty-four brands and over 250 motorcycles.
As the collection grew it moved from location to location and finally became open to the public in `77. In `93, after having moved a couple more times, it found a permanent home in Richmond at 13500 Verdun Place
The present collection no longer has a full time technician. Fred Pazaski and his nephew Leo Ruswick work from their home on any projects that need to be worked on.

The collection is open to the public, no charge, from 10 AM - 4 PM, Monday to Friday.

The collection, some of which are on loan from private owners, such as the `63 Desert Triumph that was ridden by Steve McQueen, on loan from Del West, includes motorcycles from companies, such as BSA and Triumph, who are no longer in business. There are: street; mountain; police; and racing motorcycles which include: motocross; road; hill climbing; trials; short, and dirt, track.
Even if you are not into motors, and there are several on display, or motorcycles, a tour through the collection is a pleasant and memorable experience.

2007 DEELEY MOTORCYCLE EXHIBITION
While some of the above pictured bikes have been moved to storage, some of them, such as; the Nova, the EL, and the Taxi have been moved to the new edifice.
Here the displays are going to be set to themes which will be changed yearly. Eventually all the vehicles, including those now in storage, will get their time of glory, on stage.
The first theme, in this 90th year, is called `CLASSIC'.
The second theme, in the year 2009, is called `END OF EMPIRE'.
