During the winter of 2009 / 10, I had my truck leased to a company called `CS Transport' which was situated in New Westminster, B C. Canada.

I had an `07 Volvo conventional pulling a 53 Ft. Utility reefer taking loads to towns in Calif.

Returning to Canada I carried some American products that I picked up in towns in California; carrots, oranges, etc, and some that I picked up from customs agents in border towns such as Yuma.

These are some of the pictures I took, through the windshield, along the route home from Yuma.

HWY. I-8 - EAST BOUND FROM YUMA

I took a wrong turn coming out of the cooler in Yuma and was heading East on 8.

It wasn't until I was out of the Fortuna foothills, and found an off ramp at Wellton, that I got turned around and went back to Yuma.

Once back in Yuma,, I turned North onto Hwy. 95 and within a very few miles, I was in the Yuma Proving Ground.

On any road, in the USA, leading North from the Mexican border, you will find road blocks where vehicles are checked to see if they are carrying illegal immigrants.

Truckers call them Chiquita Checks, the Govt. looking to see if we have picked up any sweet senoritas.
